Nafesa F. Kanneh

Nafesa F. Kanneh is a global health implementation science professional with experience managing complex, NIH-funded research and health systems strengthening initiatives across the United States and West Africa. She currently serves as a Project Manager with the NYU Institute for Excellence in Health Equity (IEHE), where she oversees implementation science research focused on improving the prevention and management of chronic diseases in resource-constrained settings.

Nafesa holds a Master of Public Health from New York University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH), with a focus on implementation science and health systems strengthening. Throughout her career, she has worked at the intersection of research, community engagement, and program implementation, translating research into practical, sustainable solutions.

As a member of the Board of Directors, Nafesa brings a public health and implementation science perspective, with expertise in strategic planning, program management, health equity, and data-informed decision-making. She is committed to advancing person-centered approaches that support recovery, resilience, and healthier communities.
